Linda Kennedy Brings Stories to the Region

Linda pink

Linda Kennedy has been telling stories for about 30 years. She discovered her love for the craft when she took the course, “The Art of Storytelling” at San Jose State University, and later two additional stories through Dominican College. Since then, Linda has collected and told stories at venues such as schools, churches, civic organizations, community radio, festivals, museums, and parks, such as the Governor’s Mansion State Park in Sacramento.  She has been the Emcee for the Open Telling Concert at the Sierra Storytelling Festival for the past nine years.  Recently she was featured at the November Storytelling series at Menlo Park and as a teller at Dangberg Historic Ranch in Minden, Nevada. Linda’s repertoire of folk tales, fairy tales, and personal tales will take the listener to magical places, on hilarious adventures, or somewhere deep in your heart, all the while focusing on messages of peace and justice. Linda is a charter member of the Foothill Storytelling Guild, a member of the Sacramento Storytellers Guild, SAC – Storytellers of California, and the National Storytelling Network. See Linda onstage at the AWSF at 6:30.
